ALGORFA
Algorfa lies inland from the Southern Costa Blanca Coast, some 40 minutes from Alicante and San Javier Murcia airports, just off junction 743 of the AP-7 motorway. It is small town, which has been extended by the inclusion of a number of urbanisations, spread over a 10-12 kilometre radius. From Lo Crispin, on the Ciudad Quesada side of the AP-7 motorway (junction 745), and Montebello just over the other side of the same junction, up the hill , by the side of Montebello to La Finca, where a championship golf course has been built, with a view to hosting the 2009 European Golf Championships.
Turn right here and drive past Montemar and Lomas de Juliana and down the winding hill, which has spectacular views of the Vega Baja and mountains, close to Orihuela and Callosa de Segura, you arrive at Algorfa itself. Modern apartments (Fontana) make way to the old town.
The main roads in Algorfa meet at the crossroads. Turn left at the traffic lights and look for the sign to the Ayuntamiento, on the left and you follow the road up past Plaza De Espana, where a lot of the fiestas take place during the course of the year.
The following pages will give you information about the various locations as well as details of shops, petrol stations, restaurants, markets and local Fiestas.
