La Finca, sits about 3 kilometres up the hill from Algorfa, and about 4 kilometres from Montebello.
The urbanisation fringes the La Finca Golf Course, and is approached from a large roundabout, with a spectacular water feature. It has its own commercial centre, which includes several bars and restaurants, such as Bar La Cascada, Braybrooks and El Lugar. There is an "English Supermarket" (Johnsons), which provides a local shop, handy for people visting their holiday apartments. One thing you find in this area is that you have to drive further afield to find the large supermarkets, such as Consum, Eroski, Lidl, Mercadona and Carrefour.
There are also banks , Banco de Valencia, Cambank and Caja Murcia. There is also a very good English speaking vets (La Finca Vets)
The main attraction of this urbanisation is the Golf Course, which is shortly to see completion of a large hotel, which is being built in readiness for the 2009 European Championship (that is my understanding anyway).
There are still unfinished properties in some areas of the urbanisation, mainly due to market conditions, following the "credit crunch). The area has wonderful views, particularly if you go past the Golf Club house, up the hill. When you look back down you can see the Mediterranean Ocean, and Montemar castle, and Ciudad Quesada.
